We offer you a comfortable and enjoyable fishing from the stationary camp with wooden lounges by Icha or Bolshaya rivers. During these tours motor boats transfer fishermen to the fishing spots up and down the river.

For those enjoying camping and rafting we offer fishing from safe inflatable rafts while rafting down the river: Kolpakova river, Belogolovaya river, Bystraya river and Vakhil river. When rafting is over, an off-road vehicle or a helicopter usually transfers fishermen back to the base camp or to the town.

 

The most popular ways of sport fishing in Kamchatka are:

  • Fly fishing which is the most popular, exciting and spectacular fishing in the world. Fly fishing is suitable for rainbow trout and brook trout.

 

  • Spoon-bait fishing which is a type of sport fishing for brook trout, rainbow trout, grayling and white-spotted char. Spoon-bait is usually done from the rafts. Fishing gear: baubles of 3-4 daisy type size with a weight of 10-15 grams. Recommended line size: 0.25-0.35 mm., and rod length: 2.1-2.4 m (to be able to fish from a raft), rigidity: 40-80g.

  • On the float. Fishing from the river bank. The recommend a rod length of 3 m. As for bait: boiled salmon caviar and red woolen thread. This type of fishing is suitable for brook trout, rainbow trout and grayling.

Recommended fishing gear for large fish species:

For king salmon:
– Spinning: length 2,7-3m of fast action (extra fast), 20-60g test (preferably with a lower limit). The manufacturer: Shimano, Daiwa, G.Loomis;
– Spinning reel: 4000-5000, manufacturer: Shimano;
– Line: 0.25-0.35 mm, rupture test over 25 kg, line length 130-150m, manufacturer: Spiderwire, Power Pro, Fire Line;
– Lures: oscillating spoons (silver, gold, mirror) weighting 30-40g. These brands are already approved: “Arguid” made by Japanese firm “Yo-zuri”, Norwegian “North stream”, rotating “Blue Fox” (classic and “willow leaf»), “Mepps” (“Giant Killer”, “Aglia Long”, “Long Cast”). Dimensions № 5-6 with a predominance of the color palette: silver, gold petals and orange, silver bell-core;
– Hooks: Ovner № 2/0 BC 3656
– Carbines: Ovner with weight test 40-50g
Fly fishing: rod in grades 9-12; coil № 4,5,6; carbines with 25-35 kg weight test; dry and wet flies.

For pink salmon, chum, sockeye, rainbow trout, white spotted char:
– Spinning: length 2.4-2.7 m of fast action (fast), 5-30g test. The manufacturer: Shimano, Daiwa, G.Loomis;
– Spinning reel: 1500-3500, manufacturer: Shimano, Daiwa;
– Line: 0.15-0.2 mm and rupture test  about 10-15 kg, line length 120-150m, manufactured by: Spiderwire, Power Pro, Fire Line;
– Lures: Rotating “Blue Fox” (classic and “willow leaf»), “Mepps”. Size № 3-5. (Silver, bronze, gold, bright green, yellow, orange, blue, purple);
– Wobblers 1.5 m deep, manufactured by “Rapala”;
Fly fishing: rod class 5-7; dry and wet flies, mouse;

 

For silver salmon:
– Spinning: length 2.4-2.7 m of fast action, 10-30g test. Manufacturer: Shimano, Daiwa, G.Loomis;
