Halibut sea fishing (1 day)
Travel period: July – September
Tour type: sea fishing
Duration: 1 day
Group size: by order
Halibut fishing is best done early in the morning as the main bite occurs between 6 am and 3 pm.
Therefore our boat leaves Avacha Bay quite early, heading north towards Bechevinka Bay. The trip takes up to 2.5 hours one way.
Bechevinka Bay is well known for hosting diesel submarines in the past. Nowadays the base is abandoned.
However the bay area has a lot of shallow “cans” where halibut fishing is extremely successful. The weight of a halibut caught in this area can reach over 10 kg.
