Avachinskiy volcano, also known as Avachinskaya Sopka or "Avacha" among Kamchatka residents, is an active volcano. The volcano used to be nearly twice the size than it is now, when a violent eruption in ancient past, reduced the volcano to almost half its original size, to what it is now and a new active cone with beautiful contours stood up from the depths of the Earth. The remains of the old mountain can still be found at the base of the new volcano.
Here you can see the wonderful panorama of "domestic" volcanoes – Avachinskiy and Koryakskiy volcanoes. These giants are beautiful at any time of the year, especially in winter, when the slopes of the volcanoes become smooth and clean, and the peaks smoke against the clear blue sky, reminding you that Kamchatka is really the edge of ice and flames.
Our tour will take you up the Camel Mountain, while immersing you in the raw beauty and magic of winter landscapes of Kamchatka! Our instructors will give you a chance to personally steer the snowmobile during our ascent. The magnificent mountains are sure to leave a long lasting impression.
