The Vachkazhets mountain range and its surroundings are some of the most beautiful places of pristine Kamchatka nature. In ancient times, Vachkazhets was a single volcano, but as a result of a strong eruption, it exploded, which led to the division into three main distinct parts: the town of Summer Transverse (1417 m), the town of Vachkazhtsy (1500 m) and Vachkazhets itself. In the area of the Summer Transverse, two large volcanic circuses have still been preserved, which are most likely the remains of the crater of a single large volcano.
At the foot of the mountains, there is a picturesque lake Tahkoloch, whose waters seem absolutely transparent in good weather. The surroundings of the Vachkajec mountain are a unique example of a high-altitude zone, where at first you find yourself in a mixed forest, where stone birches and tall grass reign, which are gradually replaced by alder and cedar elderberries, and at the very top there are real alpine meadows.
The walk to the waterfalls takes about 3 hours and is a simple climb up. On return from the tour – lunch.
